Centennial Summer
This summer, during Abernathy, Texas’ centennial anniversary, the filmmaker is working as a hired hand for the tenant of my family’s farm. The focus of this documentary will be discovering the nature of west Texas cotton farming and the residents of Abernathy. In Austin, the filmmaker lives as green as possible and has more than a sneaking suspicion that his family’s farm is not eco-friendly. Part of the film will focus on why the farm tenant doe not grow cotton using organic methods and what organic farming means to Abernathy.
